It's like a missing scene from The Hangover - a man paints himself green for a laugh and the next day realises it won't come off.
This beefy Brazilian quite rightly decided he could pull off The Hulk for a fun run, but there was just one thing missing. Paulo Henrique dos Santos needed to be green.
Perhaps he wanted paint that wouldn't sweat off, but the pool attendant soon discovered the industrial stain wouldn't scrub off either.
He actually used a dye meant for ballistic missiles and nuclear submarines, the UK's Sun reported.
To add to the poor bloke's misery, a local newspaper published pictures of him in his jocks, scrubbing himself with the help of a woman they said was his girlfriend, but who was actually his mother.
He said after "20 baths and nothing" he spent an uncomfortable night on a bed lined with plastic bags, before enlisting the help of friends and neighbours to scrub him clean.
But Paulo, who moonlights as DJ MC Marronzinho, seems to be enjoying the attention.
"I turned a kind of celebrity," he told the local paper.
