Anyone who saw Ryan Gosling's serious abs in Crazy, Stupid, Love (if you actually watch that stuff) would've known it took hard work to get those so-called "photoshopped abs".
Despite the 31-year-old star losing the title of 'People's Sexiest Man Alive' to Bradley Cooper, and missing out on Academy Award nominations for Drive or The Ides of March, he's a winner when it comes to keeping in shape.

Gosling's trainer for upcoming boxing flick Only God Forgives has revealed Ryan's rigorous approach to such physical roles.
"Ryan's pretty disciplined and enthusiastic, and above all, he loves his training," Kui Puk, owner of the Muay Thai Academy of America in North Hollywood told Life & Style magazine. "He trains for around two hours at a time it's pretty nonstop."

Puk added that Gosling keeps a strict diet; "I've recommended that he stick to a traditional Thai diet of fish, green vegetables and rice. I can tell he's sticking to it."
In the new Bangkok-set movie, Gosling reunites with Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn for the tale of a British gangster and his brother who run a Thai boxing club that's really a front for drug-smuggling to London. One of the brothers is killed, so their mafia mother (Kristin Scott Thomas) sweeps into town to force her remaining son to seek vengeance.
Gosling said of the Muay Thai training: "It's been painful. I like it a lot." You know what they say: no pain, no gain...
