Here at MSN headquarters we’re getting very excited! In three weeks’ time, fashion will come alive again at New Zealand Fashion Week (NZFW) with more than 40 strong designers showcasing their autumn/winter 2013 collections. And after last year’s fashion treasure trove, we know we’re in for a special treat.
For four days from September 4, fashion veterans and newcomers alike will show their collections on the runway at Auckland’s Viaduct Events Centre.
A big, warm fashion welcome is needed for Australian and international designer Charlie Brown who is showing for the first time on NZFW’s catwalk. We’re anticipating a great induction for Charlie who has dressed the likes of Linda Evangelista, Jade Jagger and Helena Christiansen.
Among the line-up of seasoned designers are Hailwood, Stolen Girlfriends Club, Huffer, Zambesi, Twenty-Seven Names, Ruby and Trelise Cooper.
And every year, the popular New Zealand Weddings Magazine’s show induces involuntary tongue-wagging when it sends beautiful bridal gowns and cute flower girl dresses down the runway.
But the annual Miromoda show is a favourite for us and for good reason. The show is a platform for the best entrants of the Miromoda Fashion Design Competition; intended for designers who identify as MĂori. We can’t wait to see what talent the competition has discovered!
Let the fashion hoopla begin!
